Sensei Milada Kurucova

 Sensei Milada Kurucova started her karate training as a 17y old in Slovakia. During her years of attending college in Kosice, she was a member of IKGA organization and Metropol Karate club. Her Shodan (1st degree black belt) promotion took place in Amsterdam and she received her rank from the head of IKGA Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi.

She moved to US in 2000 and continued studying Okinawa Goju Ryu karate in Chappaqua NY under Sensei Mark Dwyer and his Sensei Michael Mancuso.

Sensei Milada currently holds the rank of 5th degree black belt that she received from Taira Masaji Sensei in September 2023.. She opened her dojo in Brewster NY in September of 2012 and has had an opportunity to teach many students of all ages over the years of her training in Slovakia and US.

Sensei Milada’s Dojo holds the title of Shibu (branch) Dojo of Okinawa Goju Ryu Kenkyukai organization, instituted by Taira Masaji Sensei Hanshi (9th Dan).

Sensei Taira started training Goju Ryu Karate at the age of 16 in Jundokan Dojo under Sensei EIIchi Miyazato. Most of his career was focused on deep studying of Bunkai for Kata.

Sensei Taira left Jundokan in 2011 to form Okinawa Goju Ryu Kenkyukai (Research society) at the request of his students and travels all around the world to teach his principles and share his knowledge.
